*I would like to stress that I am not being paid to write about these products, I was not given the products for free, nor is this a sponsored post. I feel like in the current climate of misleading information online, it is important to address but I am just a little blogger doing her own thing.*
Today I will be sharing my go-to skincare routine for Winter. I have fairly sensitive and dry skin if I don’t keep on top of it with the right products so my routine would be simpler than most but it’s effective for me!
Let’s get into it…
- Garnier Micellar Water
- Cotton pads
- Garnier Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish Soap-Free Gel Wash
- Simple Kind to Skin Rich Moisturiser
Depending on whether or not I have been wearing makeup the night before, I usually just take a cotton pad and saturate it in my chosen micellar water to give my face a quick clean. If I was wearing makeup then I would use micellar water to take off the excess makeup that was left behind the night before (there is always excess makeup, no matter how well you have cleansed your face, grab a cotton and some micellar water or makeup remover and just see!) and go in with my facial wash for a deep cleanse. I pop on my Simple moisturiser and I am good to go! I have yet to invest in a toner that suits my skin but I am thinking of picking up one from the pure active range from Garnier. If you have any recommendations on a toner or SPF (the primer & foundations used always have an SPF so I don’t go unprotected) I need in my life then be sure to tell me in the comments below!
Again, if I was wearing makeup throughout the day I would go ahead with my micellar water first to take off the initial layer before deep cleansing but if I won’t be wearing any then I make sure I’ve washed my hands, dampen them and apply a pea sized amount of the Garnier Pure Active Sensitive wash in the palm of my hand before foaming it up and applying all over my face, after that I rinse my face with water and apply more of my Simple moisturiser. My face has never felt as cleansed, soft or refreshed before using that facial wash and it really keeps any blemishes at bay!
Other than the products already mentioned, I pop on some Sudocrem over night on any blemishes and that’s pretty much it. It is a pretty simple skincare routine but I finally found a balance of what works for me and my skin.
